Passport Application Stage Process

Documents Required for Normal Minor Passport ( Age 1 Month to 18 Years)

Proof of Address

  • Child Aadhaar card
  • Parents Passport (If Available)
  • Parents Aadhaar Card (If Parents
    Passport is not available)

Proof of Date of Birth

  • Birth Certificate
  • Matriculation Certificate (If Available)

Validity/ Fees Amount (in Rs.) of Minor Passport

Age (1 Month to 15 Years)

  • Maximum 5 Years or Upto the age of 18 Years (Whichever is earlier) Fees 1000

Age (15 Years to 18 Years)

  • Option 1 – Upto age of 18 Years (Fees 1000)
  • Option 2 – Validity 10 Years (Fees 1500)

Age (15 Years to 18 Years)

Note: For fresh Passport applications, a rebate of 10% on basic Passport fees will be applicable for Minors age less than 8 Years.

Photo Guidelines

  • Size of photo should be 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm.
  • Background of photo should be plain white.
  • 80-85% of photo area should be covered with face.
  • Both Ears should be visible.
  • Photograph should be of high quality.
  • Photograph should be printed naturally with no editing done on it.
  • Cap is not allowed.
  • Photograph should be printed on professional photo paper.
